In a recent edition of Childhood Obesity, the journal published an editorial about ‘oblivobesity’. What’s the definition of this neologism? In general, it’s meant to denote the inability of someone (usually a parent) to view obesity in another (usually a child). This paper led Arnaldo and I to submit a complementary article that extended the discussion about obesity and parents’ misperception of their children’s weight.
We submitted our manuscript recently to Childhood Obesity, and will follow-up when we get more information.
